Situated at the most northerly point of Winter Hill, this flying site offers flying when winds are from the North > North East.
As the wind moves round towards a ENE direction, you may find more favourable flying at "Winter Hill (Mast)" nearby.
Access
Access via George's Lane, turning North at Lodge Farm. Be mindful and courteous towards walkers and dogs along the narrow road that leads to the Mast.
Turn left at the junction after the "main" mast, and park near the next largest mast. The flying site is accessed via a pedestrian gate to the side of the fencing.
Particular caution should be paid in the winter months as the narrow road to the Mast has steep drainage ditches (marked) on either side.
